This time you should take over the sniper outpost and take out a few Brutes down below with the Jackal's Stalker Rifle. Head around to the back right corner to reach another sniper's outpost. You'll notice this entrance is closed, but you can use your grappling hook to get up to where the Brute was before. Take them out using the natural terrain as cover, and head down. There will also be one Brute up top in the tower. You'll come to an overlook where there are two Brutes below, and a few Grunts. Keep working around to the right using rocks as cover. More enemies will quickly come to investigate. There is a Jackal with a sniper in the tower, but you should be able to get the jump on him if you approach from this direction, as he'll be facing the other way. Once you're as high as you can get, you'll need to shoot the Grappleshot at an angle to scale The Tower and fling the Chief up. Starting from northeast of the base, near the retracted bridge connecting this area to the island in the north, use your Grappleshot to climb the large support struts. Using the Grappleshot, scale the side using the support beams as ledges. This is much easier if you've upgraded the Grappleshot twice to unlock the 40% shorter cooldown. To do it, you're going to need to climb to the top of the Tower. The Weapon will tell you the signal is coming from the tower, so it's time to fight our way in.īefore you go inside, you'll have the opportunity to claim the IWHBYD skull. This audio log is not counted towards the mission total. You can check the list of potential unlocks in the menu.įrom the terminal, turn left and you'll see a UNSC audio log leaning up against a pile of sandbags near the edge of the platform. Eventually, you will unlock more enemies, marines, and weapons to deploy at your FOBs by earning Valor. Now, you have your first FOB! For starters, you can summon a Mongoose to drive around the world. Once the FOB is clear of enemies, you can claim it at the terminal in the center of the platform. When you head to it, watch out for the one Jackal hiding behind the largest crate in the back right of the platform. From here, you should be able to take out most of the Grunts, clearing the FOB platform. Once that's done, the Grunts are sure to notice you've made some noise, so hop out of the turret and hide behind the rocks in this area for cover. You can quickly hop into it to take out two Brutes that are patrolling the FOB. Head down the hill towards the FOB, and you should see a turret. You won't have much cover so it's easy to get killed. You can go to FOB Golf or FOB Foxtrot first. You'll also gain more support from random Marines at areas should you continue taking back the ring.
